I know they said they were taken out the Call of Duty in the title and only using Modern Warfare 2 but here's what I dug up.

This is MW2 final box art reason for Call Of Duty in name is to do with the fact 40% of the gamers couldn't link Modern Warfare 2 to Call of Duty. WE THINK
